After many years of preaching to eat and drink responsibly, I now find myself at the head office of Slow Food International in Bra, helping Victoria Smelkova to coordinate activities between our countries and Italy for Terra Madre. This is the perfect place for me, I share the values of the Slow Food philosophy and being a sommelier, I’m in wine heaven and terroir food!
This past year as a sommelier at restaurant Van Horne in Montréal as well as a participant in the development of the company that is one of 10 best new restaurants in Canada in 2011 in the magazine En Route Air Canada have prepared me for a new challenge: to be a part of the Slow Food community and get things done with you.
I’ll share my experience in Italia with you throught my discoveries and I will talk about Terra Madre in further newsletters.
Hope to see you in October!
