Watermark, Osoyoos (15 Park Pl @ Main)
Whether we live upriver or downwind, in sharing local stories we can develop sustainable cultural and environmental responses to the challenges that surround us. That’s the premise of the Columbia River Watershed Storytelling Tour, which launches in Osoyoos with a premiere event featuring music, stories, films and spoken word on Thursday, November 26, 7-9 pm at the Watermark Conference Room (15 Park Place at Main St).
Co-hosted by Suiki?st (Pauline Terbasket, Okanagan Nation Alliance), the evening will feature songs and storytelling by Csetkwe Fortier, original music by Algoma, the Syilx water declaration presented by Tessa Terbasket, short films about IndigenEYEZ, the salmon returning to the Okanagan, and the pocket desert bioregion, poetry by Teresa Marshall, audience tales and more.
