Slow Food Thompson Okanagan held its 2015 Slow Fish dinner on January 19 at Codfathers Seafood in Kelowna, BC. The dinner was family-style, with all fish courses themed on “snout to tail” or “snout to fin” eating. “All dishes were fantastic and it was a great turnout, with lots of chefs from Kelowna to Keremeos (Similkameen) – up and down the valley!” – Jennifer Cockrall-King
The menu consisted of:
*Oysters Red wine mignonette
*albacore tuna ceviche with cucumbers
*Fried Smelts | Smoked tomato aioli
*Arugula Humpback Prawns Pil Pil Chili | garlic | olive oil
*Tuna Bloodline Sausage | Sambal aioli | lime | wonton | chili
*Deep-fried Whole Char
*Korean-style spicy fried pickerel cheeks with lime
