Every month, Slow Food Saskatoon hosts a conversational salon at a local coffee shop. Last January, Marc Loiselle, an organic farmer, was the special guest of the monthly event. He led an interesting discussion on organic farming, Red Fife wheat and the concept of terroir.
Marc’s century-old family farm is featured in Saveurs et Savoirs: Région de la Trinité. Saveurs et Savoirs is a publication of the Institut Français showcasing the skills of the elders in Batoche and La Trinité, two regions of Saskatchewan.
Conversational salons are an ongoing gathering of people who share a passion for ideas and can be frontiers for social and cultural change. Stay tuned for more monthly events to come!
